Over the years my art has been focused on the topics of identity & intimacy, as well as on our relationships to the environment / ourselves. I take many of the topics for my paintings from famous ‘old masters’ paintings and then I make significant changes to them to make them modern in a provocative way. My current project is a series of paintings that reinterpret the Garden of Eden story in order to propose other outcomes and to make direct links between this story and our current environmental crises. Through this work, I am exploring the links between Biblical creation stories, unequal power dynamics, climate change and ecocide.
