Artist Statement:
I’ve always been attracted to colored glass, from the vibrant candy-like colors to more subdued hues. Fusing glass is like an alchemy of its own. I love the smooth flow and graceful contours of the finished product. I work in my barn studio, overlooking my alpaca herd, and I find inspiration in the natural world, as well as classic shapes and designs. Glass is cut and carefully placed, then fired to the desired temperature in my kiln. Glass transforms in the firing process, colors change and shapes soften. I never know what treasures I might find when I open my kiln
