Skunk Cabbage was the first sign that Winter was passing. When we moved to CT and I took up pottery, I would look out the backyard at our stream and with such excitement know that spring was around the corner because of those plump green leaves pushing through the soil. I have been a potter for 22 years now and still find the textures, lines and shapes of nature to be such an inspiration.

I look to my garden to embellish my pieces with leaves and berries, making each piece one of a kind. I believe that we should engage with with art so my pieces can go from oven to the table, to the dishwasher - making them part of your daily aesthetic!

Artist Statement:
I have been throwing pottery for twenty-two years now and what started as a hobby is now my passion. In our fast-paced and rushed world I philosophically believe that art should be a part of our daily lives. My inspiration is nature, and I attempt to embellish all my pieces with vines and leaves - along with a unique fascination for grapes! I also enjoy sculpting which makes each piece truly one of a kind. My utilitarian pieces are created for daily use to bring art and nature into your life. Casual enough for daily use but elegant enough for entertaining or for the holidays. Plates, casseroles, covered pots and bake ware are all lead-free, microwave and oven to dishwasher safe. I look forward to meeting you and sharing my passion!
