My name is Nora Lili Charters and I am an award-winning portrait and nature photographer from Northeastern Connecticut.  I hold a BFA in photography from NYU, and while I grew up in the quiet town of Mansfield, CT I lived for 25 years after high school in NYC.  I worked in fashion advertising for 15 years, falling in love with the world of glamour photography.  I now divide my life between photography and my love for yoga, having become a yoga teacher some years back.  I also make hand-beaded necklaces, in natural materials and semi-precious stones. 

Artist Statement:
I like to find images that show how beautiful the world is, even if also serious and hard at times. After also becoming a yoga teacher some years ago I started taking portraits of my fellow yoga teachers and continue to work on this project. I hope my work makes you smile, think on the wonder of the world, and takes you to a good place. I also fell in love with a place called Khuyay farm, and take pictures there of that world, alpacas, chickens, the farm dog. I find a moment of light, of composition, and go from there.
