Growing up in an artistic family shaped Kim's path in life.  Photography captured her attention, especially the simple and elegant work of Elliot Porter, which inspired her.  She learned from her father how to use a camera, and it soon became an integral part of her life.  She was trained as a classical pianist earning a Master's Degree from Eastman School of Music, but she always had a camera nearby.

After starting a family upon returning to CT in the 1990s, she enrolled in the Photography program at UCONN's Fine Art School.  Her kids were her subjects at first, but then she enjoyed photographing life all around her. After realizing that she had been training for this her whole life, she started her Wedding and Portrait Photography business and never looked back.  Now, retired from her Wedding and Portrait business, she has time to concentrate on her vision as an Art Photographer.

Kim puts no limits on the subject matter in her photographs.  Still-life, travel, and currently fantastical scenes and subjects.  View her most current work in person this year at her studio.
