Artist Statement:
I work with enamel and ceramics. Enamel is glass formulated to be fired onto metal, similar to glaze on ceramics. I use similar techniques to work with both types of media. My interest as an artist is in technique, workmanship, and how the materials I use interact. Recently I have been working with images I photograph of botanicals and insects which I fire onto the surface of both enamel and ceramics.
