Powder house creations was created in 2017. The name comes from the 19th century powder house that I live in and where I do my work. Under this name I am able to share what I make with others. My assistants are currently a toddler and 2 Great Pyrenees.

Repurposed doorknobs and backplates make a beautiful addition to any home. I started out by wanting a unique functional art piece in my home. I made it from an old door, knobs and backplates to come up with a unique coat rack. With all the extra pieces I decided to make unique pieces to share with others.

I take old broken busted door hardware, shine, paint and bring something new to life. They can be used as curtain tie backs, fake knobs for doors, coat racks, and any use you can think of.

I have newly ventured into framing old keys, making rustic art easy for mounting on the wall. I love the way it looks framed on the wall.

Making functional art from old door hardware offers a unique way to add something special to your space. Everything comes in a variety of sizes and colors, and I am always open to making something unique.
